STICKY VBRAKE PADS
Our Reset 24" bike comes with rear Disc and VBrake options, no Magura HS33 dedicated mounts.
Not everyone is a die hard fan of hydraulic rim brakes, and VBrakes are generally speaking much cheaper and easier to maintain.
There are many different VBrake Calipers, Levers, and Pads options out there. You can get yourself a decent entry level brake for really cheap, or you can put the money and get yourself a very well tuned, friction free, extremely stiff, powerful, and light rear brake.
Our favorite set up is an Avid Ultimate rear Caliper matched with an Avid SL Magnesium lever, Nokon lined all the way from Lever to Caliper, with a pair of these super sticky pads.
Yeah, we're sure you'll recognize the very popular compound that's been rather hard to find for a while... We managed to get our hands on some of those and are happy to offer them to our customers.

128mm ISIS BOTTOM BRACKETS
There's not a whole lot of options for a decent quality 68x128mm ISIS bottom bracket.
Before anything, it's important to keep in mind that no matter which bottom bracket you use, if you want to make sure it will last you a fair amount of time, first thing to do is to make sure the BB shell of you're frame is perfectly faced.
These bottom brackets are nothing new, you can probably tell they are the same as another very popular brand. Indeed, since we're conviced there's no market for an outstanding 200$ 128mm ISIS BB, we decided to stick with what's proven to be good. The twist is we are able to offer them at a very interesting price.
68x128mm with strong and lightweight M15 Cromoly spindle
Double sealed bearings on drive side for maximum load capacity and greater durability
Will clear any cranks/freewheel setups
One of the lightest BB available, at just 275g
Pictured with purple sleeves, colors may vary

Life's not perfect - Do it yourself !
It's important to face the BB shell of any frame before installing the bottom bracket unit. We strongly advise anyone getting a new frame should do this, especially if you're getting one of those popular and affordable asian frames, and EVEN if you're getting a super fancy 4000$ DH bike frame, or one of ours.
We do face our frames before shipping them out, but we don't trust anyone else's work, and can't see why someone wouldn't want to double check after us, just to feel good realizing we did it right ;)
Wide BB's and possible problems...
Wide BB spindles are popular as they allow for plenty of clearance for your front freewheel setup or your 32T+ MTB chainring with the chainstay yoke even with really short chainstays, on top of offering a stable position on the bike. However, short chainstays combined with a wide BB spindle can lead to a really messy chainline. To avoid premature wear or failure of your chain, cogs, and freewheel, make sure you work on getting the straightest chainline you possibly can. And on top of that, if you're riding a single speed setup, don't over-tension your chain. |
